Data Protection & Privacy

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Verse Serve collects, uses, and protects your personal information across our technology platforms and hotel search service.

Last updated: January 2025
Summary: We collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and we give you control over your information. For full details, read the sections below.

1 Who We Are

Verse Serve ("we", "our", or "us") is an international technology platform company operating across Information Technology, Telecommunications, Artificial Intelligence, and Research & Development. Our flagship consumer product is a global hotel search and discovery platform that connects travellers with hotels worldwide via affiliate partnerships.

This Privacy Policy applies to all websites, applications, and services operated under the Verse Serve brand, including verse-serve.com and its subdomains.

2 Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Category Examples How Collected
Usage Data Pages visited, search queries (country, city), clicks Automatically via server logs & analytics
Device & Network IP address, browser type, operating system Automatically on each request
Contact Data Name, email address, message content When you submit our contact form
Cookies Session identifiers, preference settings Stored in your browser (see Section 4)

We do not collect payment card numbers, government IDs, or other sensitive personal data directly — hotel bookings are completed on third-party partner sites (e.g. Agoda).

3 How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our hotel search service — delivering relevant results for your country and city queries.
  • Analyse usage patterns to optimise platform performance and user experience.
  • Respond to enquiries and messages submitted via our contact form.
  • Monitor security, detect fraud, and protect our systems from abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations applicable to our operations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4 Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g. session management). You cannot opt out of these without disrupting service.
  • Analytics cookies — used via Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. These are anonymised and do not identify you personally.
  • Affiliate cookies — when you click through to a hotel booking partner, that partner may set their own cookies in accordance with their own privacy policy.

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to search for hotels.

5 Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Agoda (Booking Holdings) — hotel inventory, pricing, and booking completion. When you click "Book Now," you leave our site and are subject to Agoda's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics — anonymised website usage statistics. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy terms.
  • Google Fonts & CDN libraries — font files and JavaScript libraries may be loaded from Google and jsDelivr CDN servers, which may log your IP address.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services linked from our platform.

6 Data Retention

Server access logs (including IP addresses) are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes, then automatically deleted. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, or until the enquiry is resolved, whichever comes first. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely in aggregate form.

7 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Objection — object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all connections, server-side caching via Redis (data is stored in memory, not written to disk), and restricted database access via firewall rules and authenticated connections.

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9 Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
